Q: Where can I find performance parts for a Lincoln LS V8?
I am hoping to find some performance parts for a 2002 Lincoln LS V8, but all I can find is a Cat-Back exhaust. Does anybody know where to find parts like a cold air intake, computer tuner, maybe even headers, etc for this car? Believe it or not, this car is pretty sporty.

A: If you're going to keep the car call the dealer. If you just want to fix it, call a nearby boneyard. If they're of any size and they don't have one they can locate one for you. They're not much.

A: wtf free? not even funny... i think theyre the same parts as the big size ford the crown victoria? only thing that are expensive are the air ride shocks... heard those give out kinda easy, as long as its got under 100 000 miles u dont raelly need to worry.. if more... check out who the last driver was and his driving habits - care if signs of no care, dont get it... only real expensive linconln parts are those which only fit lincolns and not in the crown vic

Q: 72 Lincoln Continental Parts?
Does anybody have any suggestions on where to find parts, performance and stock, for a 72 Lincoln Continental? It is a 460 w/ a C6 transmission. Performance improvement ideas would be nice too! Thanks alot! 72 is a one year production on alot of parts, so other years parts won't work. IT IS NOT A MARK!

A: It is NOT advisable to mess around with that particular car. Due to the associated electronics, along with your ETC (electronic throttle control) and VCT (variable cam timing), adding or modifying your ride will only ruin it. So called "cold air intakes" are a huge waste of money, due to the fact that little is achieved by adding such systems. You may even VOID your warranty if you have any problems associated with the modification. Most engine electronics these days are very sensitive to detecting anything that falls outside the operating parameters of what your application was designed to operate within. You would only be asking for trouble if you fool around with it.

i have an 89 conti and am sick of fighting with air suspension and am looking for compatible parts to convert it-an interchange list of parts IS VERY HARD or has been near impossible to locate. this model has the 3.8 litre engine. i would need to know what parts are useable from other ford,lincoln,mercury.I am not interested in buying online conversion kits and I am aware that parts DO exist but I am so poor that this will have to be done VERY cheaply and I am doing it myself so perhaps a few insrtuctions would be helpful too. I know that there are parts for this that do not require any sort of modification to the existing mounts from the air suspension but ifo is way too hard to find and this is my only form of transportation for myself and two baby girls so ANYTHING you could pass on would be GREAT thanks so much

A: Look into same year with no air suspension. I can't remember the name of the car (think it was MERCURY something) with standard struts and they bolt right in. Just remove air suspension and disconnect power to the pump.

A: YOU CANT. sure some companies might have made custom parts for that car but since it is not a civic, mustang, or some other car with huge aftermarket support, finding custom parts will be difficult. you are talking about a car that had a target consumer 50+ years old. no company would make cold air intakes or huge rear spoilers for a car like this and expect to make a profit.

A: Google Lincoln Welding machine. They will show picture sometimes and you pick what looks best.

Q: Will the performance parts that fit a 4.6 mustang fit a 4.6 lincoln town car?
I have a 1994 Lincoln Towncar 4.6 v8 that i'm trying to beef up. I have been told that the performance parts from a 1996 4.6 v8 mustang will fit my car. Is this true before i go off buying parts?

A: The intake and the tune are different so be careful if you plan to go forced induction because you will pay more for custom work!

A: For the 89 Lincoln struts use 89 Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable struts. No need to go with the companies that say they make special struts. My boyfriend changed mine right in my driveway.
