Q: How do you remove the rotor from a 2003 Lincoln Navigator 2WD?
I removed everything around it, brake pads and caliper and bracket. But the rotor will not come off. There are no washers holding the rotor in. Does it just take a beating or does it have to be heated?
A: remove the the bearing adjustment nut and bearings and slide the rotor off
Q: 2003 lincoln navigator `plop` sound seems to be coming from muffler. any idea what it could be?
I have a 2003 lincoln navigator and I hear a sound which resembles popping out a dent. It sounds like 'plumph'. This sound seems to be coming from the rear in the muffler area. Any ideas what it could be? I'm thinking that the muffler has a dent and the dent just pops out and goes back in causing the 'plumph' sound. This sound sometimes occurs when I am driving and even when my car is parked and the car is not even started 5 to 10 minutes after I'm done driving. Any information will be helpful.
A: It's most likely a heat shield just expanding and contracting as it heats/cools down. Normal, today's vehicles have a lot of these heat shields underneath.
Q: How can one replace a 2003 Lincoln navigator air suspension.?
A: For Cheap? You can't.
You can swap Expedition coil springs and still have great ride quality, though.

Q: 2003 Lincoln Navigator - Whenever my fog lights are on, my fog lights get very very HOT like they are burning?
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator. Whenever my fog lights are on, my fog lights get very very HOT like they are burning(The fog light lens gets too hot) . Is this normal? Does this happen to anyone else with a 2003 Lincoln Navigator?
I just bought this car so any replies would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!
A: some one probablu installed aftermarket fog light bulbs that are too high power.
It makes the front look a bit better at night but It can sometimes cause yellowing or even melting of the lens.
I would replace them with the factory reccomended bulbs, if they still get hot then it was ment to be!!

It seem this part is very expensive. Where I can find it in a good price?
A: According to www.fordparts.com, it lists for $273.86US (with $50.00 core charge added). The part number is 1L7Z-7902-BBRM. That's not including the labour to R & R the transmission to replace it though. Hope this helps.
Q: 2003 lincoln navigator muffler very hot air blowing. is it normal?
Hello
I have a 2003 lincoln navigator which which was purchased a few months ago. I have noticed that the air coming from the muffler is extremely hot. is that normal?
A: Have no worries this is a normal thing with the navs. Especially now if you run your A/C in the summer, the car is running longer, and in turn your engine is producing more heat that needs to escape, and thats through your muffler. If your still concerned keep an eye on your temp gauge, if it rises above normal temps than bring it in for service.
Good luck
Q: 2003 Lincoln Navigator resale?
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator in great condition with about 88,000 miles on it. It has two DVD/TVs one is 19-inches other is 8-inches. A touch radio and perfect condition. What should the trade in be on this I'd like just see rough numbers like high 9's or something like that.
A: the aftermarket add ons actually lower the value of the vehicle. today it's a buyers market. due to a lack of money and the fact that most people know that the price of gas is going back up. not many people are buying big suvs. so it's only worth what someone will give for it. today bluebook means nothing.
Q: Question about 2003 Lincoln Navigator Factory HID/Xenon Headlamps?
hello
I have the 2003 Lincoln Navigator with the factory HID headlamps. I wanted to change these headlamps to make them the super blue color instead of the factory color. How would I get this done? since the vehicle is setup with hid already, is there some minor change that has to be done? can I do it myself or do I have to go to the dealer? what do I need?
I don't kow much about HID or Xenon and would really appreciate it if somone helped me out
thanks!
A: Well one thing is HID light are very expensive as compared to standard Car lights. if you want the super blue look you can look for some aftermarket bulbs from performance magazines or truck accessory store. Some guys tint the actual headlight lamp lens blue. YOU KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO PISS ALOT OF PEOPLE OFF WITH THOSE THINGS? GOOD LUCK
Q: 2003 lincoln navigator. tune up needed? info says 5.7 mpg supposed to be 13 mpg according to manual?
I have a lincoln navigator year 2003 with 59,600 mileage on it. This is a 8 cylinder suv.
I just bought this suv from a private seller and I only drive about 5 miles a day. I put $50 in the tank and it doesn't even last me a week. when I click the info button on my car it says that I am getting only 5.7 miles per gallon. In the manual it says that it supposed to give about 13 miles per gallon. Do you think I need a tune up? what can be the problem? what can I do?
A: If you are doing all stop and go driving and idling a bunch, you probably will get 5 mpg in any large 32 valve V8 SUV. Thing about it- you get 0 mpg when your idling, and you get your worst MPGs accelerating from stop, and that's all your doing it seems.

Q: I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator - WHat are some of the CONS (If any) of putting 24" Rims on it instead of 22"s
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator - WHat are some of the CONS (If any) of putting 24" Rims on it instead of 22"s on my Navigator?
I am thinking of putting 24" Rims on my navigator but heard some people say that it can throw off alignment, etc... Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
A: It would look stupid with 22 inch rims on it, and it would look way stupid with 24 inchers.
I hope I cleared that up for you.
Why don't you put that money away for a college fund or something else worthwhile?

Q: 2003 lincoln navigator sideview mirrors not working properly. any ideas what could be wrong?
Hello
I have a 2003 lincoln navigator and the sideview mirrors are not working properly. When I try to move the mirrors left or right it does not allow me to... it just moves up and down. I have my mirror set at a particular position. When I put the car in reverse and then back into drive the mirrors are not set as they were prior to putting it in reverse. The mirrors do not stay at my desired setting which I have saved. Any ideas what could be the problem?
thanks
A: Had the same thing happen with both of mine. There's a module that needs to be replaced by the dealer. I also had one of the mirror motors go bad and I replaced that one myself without any problems. Now they work perfectly.
