Q: What do people know about Lincoln Cars?
And what are you attitudes towards the brand name? Has anyone seen advertising for the new range (MKS, MKZ etc)? And has anyone had any contact with any Lincoln vehicles ever? if you answer, could you also ad a little not about you age, gender and proffession? You dont have to, but even a rough age bracket would be helpful, Its for a marketing assignment at uni and Im in australia where Lincoln cars arent well known and Im having trouble doing any research on it. thanks!

A: Here's some random info that might help you: -Lincoln is the luxury division for the Ford motor company. -I'm 19 and I owned a 1995 Lincoln Town Car Executive for about a year and really liked it. Lincoln Town Cars have a poor resale value because there are a lot of misconceptions about them. For one thing, people think that they are maintenance nightmares since they're used luxury cars. This usually isn't the case because Lincoln Town Cars use the same 4.6 V8 that is used in the Ford Crown Victoria. People also generally think they are gas hogs. Lincoln Town Cars actually get about 16mpg city and over 22mpg highway. They aren't slow either despite their large size. Up to the mid '90s, Lincoln almost exclusively marketed their cars to traditional older buyers. They basically only produced full size roomy cars with V8 engines and RWD. But since the late '90s, Lincoln's marketing strategy has become much more extensive and mainstream. This is apparent with the audition of the sporty LS sedan along with the Navigator and Aviator luxury SUVs. Hope that helps and good luck!

Q: Where in the surrounding NYC area can i get a variety of used, dependable lincoln town cars ?
I want to take a road trip 2-3 hours outside of NYC to buy a 2003+ lincoln town car -- where is the best town(s) to go and where, i'd like a place with a lot of options ? NJ, PA, CT, Upstate NY ?

A: Try tristatelincoln.com

Q: What is the secret for Lincoln Town Cars and Ford Crown Victoria's going strong at 300,000 miles?
I am amazed that these cars are so economical and long lasting.

A: Its just a well built reliable car. This is part of the reason they are so common as police cars, taxis, and situations where they will get lots of miles in short periods of time. These cars have been relatively untouched for better part of 30 years. Ford has been making good cars for years people just don't give them a shot.

Q: Do parts on a lincoln car cost more on average than parts on other cars? ?
I'm just wondering because it's a "luxury car" and I hear that the parts are more expensive to replace.

A: Parts for the motor are reasonably priced, BUT the interrior, A/C and most electronics are pretty expensive.

Q: where can i ge a 1990 lincoln town cars' stereo wiring diagram?

A: you can purchase a plug that has the wires listed I might even have one, let me look for it and I will respond later! SORRY the plug I have is for 1998 and 1999 (maybe similar?) Q: how to fix a 98 lincoln town cars cassette player to listen to a mp3 adaptable cassete?
my car is receiving the cassette, but it pops out all the time

A: well based on the information you gave its hard to say what is wrong if it pops out the cassette it obviously is something with the radio...id take it to someone who does radios and or buy a aftermarket stereo

Q: Why do Lincoln town cars have a horrible resale value ?
Car is very comfortable gets 26mpg in the city and im on my third town car they have always been reliable, good looking, and luxurious

A: I think they have great resale value - I buy used. It all depends on your perspective. Some other good points already made - Ford is letting it die. The LTC used to absolutely dominate the domestic luxury car market. During the 80's, Cadillac didn't make an engine that would actually run, and Chrysler didn't really make a luxury car at all that wasn't a joke. In terms of sales, the town car got way out in front (easily) as the class leader. Ford has not updated its content since then. It was restyled about a decade ago, but the features date back more like 2 decades. I think it's a dumb choice on Ford's part, but what do I know?

Q: Torn Between 2 cars for my business:Lincoln Town Car and a Jaguar X-Type?
I have the funds to add 3 new cars to my Chauffeur Service Fleet, I need to add first a business level luxury sedan: If you had the choice to be driven around, would you choose the Lincoln Town Car: http://www.forbesautos.com/gallery/2007/lincoln/town_car/?partner=yahooa or would you take the Jaguar X-Type(sedan): http://www.forbesautos.com/gallery/2007/jaguar/x_type_sedan/?partner=yahooa Or would you suggest something else(keeping in mind our budget is for this car is $55K)

A: I'd prefer the Town car. I'm a bigger man, 6'1" 200lbs and the X-type is just too small in the back seat. When it comes to luxury the X-type has the lead. But the Lincoln is just more comfortable to sit in and has pretty much as good a ride.

Q: does lincoln make reliable cars?
im not a big fan of american cars yet alone lincoln cuz it has a reputation for making cars for "old people". but i really dig the lincoln ls and i am planning on getting one.its a 2002. its has a youthful look to it. how reliable is it?

A: It will be reliable if you take care of it. If you (and the previous owner) follow(ed) the preventative maintenance schedule as listed in the owner's manual, it should be very reliable up to 150,000 mi for sure (and probably longer...most cars built in the last 10+ years are engineered with a lifespan target of at least 150,000mi if the preventative maintenance schedule is followed).

Q: What cell phone is the lady holding in the lincoln car commercial??
There's a new holiday commercial for the lincoln car company and I love the phone the lady is using. Her husband takes a pic of a lincoln car and then sends it to her cell. Does anyone know what phone that is? Thanks

A: Sorry. I don't.

Q: Are Lincoln Cars Reliable??
In my opinion, Lincoln's are the best looking cars i've seen with the best interior, especially the Navigator...BUT with that being said, are they reliable or do you have to fix them every 5 ft. they go like some other american cars such as fords and chevys? and also would you recommend getting a used one...not certified

A: Yes! Lincoln, according to JD Powers and Associates, just scored the 3rd most reliable car in the world, just below Lexus and Porsche! They are very stylish too. But, if you are thinking of getting one, stay away from 2003 and earlier models. 2004-present are more reliable, but the current 2007 models are the most reliable out of the bunch. Also, Ford beat Nissan and is on par with Toyota in recent quality with their 2006-present vehicles. Ford owns Lincoln. Ford is also the 10th most reliable car in the world. I would really suggest a Lincoln. Check out their website in case you are interested in any vehicles: http://www.lincoln.com/
