Was just arguing with a buddy he thinks that many Lexus vehicles are the same as Toyota vehicles like Camary and Avalon. I know they have their similarities but he thinks that you can just swap out head lights, tail lights, and engines and with perfect fittment. Is this true? Thanks in advance!

Things like, the Gear Shift Knob, the emblems, pedals, and anything else that can be modified for a reasonable price. I tried the lexus dealer website but its useless. A: Ebay is one of the best places to look. I got a ton of stuff for my '95 altima from there. Body kit, performance exhaust, head and tail lights, dash coloring kit, etc. I saved a ton of money.

A: With Lexus parts, ~$160/rotor, ~$70/set of pads(1 set per side), and about 2.5 hours labor(labor rates range from $40-$90/hour) I don't have my labor guide or parts list on my computer here, but it's a pretty good guess.

Both the sc300 and the is300 have the 2jz-ge. I cant find a lot of parts for my 1997 sc300. What parts will fit from the is300 on my sc300
A: short answer.. mostly nothing will fit.
The IS300 has the VVTi version of the 2jzge. All 98+ SC300 also has the exact same motor as the IS300 (vvti 2jzge). Since your SC is a 97 it has a non-vvti motor in it. You should be glad, the vvti motors are much weaker, and hold about half the power of the non-vvti engines. What can't you find for your car? try www.mvpmotorsports.com
