For some reason, none of the Lexus dealers in CA lists their new car inventory....
Lexus.com doesn't list em either.
I won't call dealers cause they'll just say they have it even when they don't just to get me out there.

A: Obviously, they don't want to tell you.
Just send every dealer in your area a fax, telling them you are in the market, and are a serious buyer. You will pay cash, or will arrange your own financing. Ask for a price quote on the exact model and features you want. You want the full price, including taxes, registration, the works needed to drive the car off the lot. Ask them what the lead time is to make the car available if they had the best price. And even ask them to write down the VIN number so you know they actually did the work.
Tell them you will contact them, not the other way around. And ask for the name of the salesman you should deal with.
Dealers in a region trade new cars all the time. No dealer is big enough to have in their inventory exactly what every customer wants. They would like to sell you one of the cars sitting on their lot, but will trade with other dealers to make a deal. (Many dealers rent storage space off property, so they have more inventory you can't see.) The upside is you will get a competitve price. The downside is that it might take 1-2 weeks to get the exact car you want - and you might have to pay a modest ground shipping expense.
If you are not patient, then just drive around to every dealer in your area. Depends what you want to do with your time.

With the CAD and USD almost on par, I'm looking to purchase a Lexus IS250/350 from the States. Unfortunately, I've heard that many dealers refuse to sell to Canadians. Does anyone know of a dealer near the border that will?

A: Contact Lexus. The franchise charge is a mere $1 Million so most of them have been sold at that bargain price.

Lexus dealer charge anywhere from 130 to 150 dollars for 5000 mile oil change. I have LS430 2005 and I would like to cut the cost of maintenance on my car. I was told Lexus has special gasket on oil filters, so the mechanics has to know what they are doing. Is it safe to use neighborhood mechanic for maintenance or is Lexus dealer absolutely necessary for this.
A: As long as you use the correct oil and filter, you can have the job done anywhere. I would recommend you find a good independent shop, and stay away from the quick lube places!!
The dealer will always say that they are the best place to get your car serviced. The shop provides most of the profit in a dealership!!!

A: Release date for the 2010 RX350 is February 15th. Every dealer will have the car towards the end of January for dealers to see. We will have one on January 27th.
The RX450h will be released about 90 days later

A: You forgot to mention the year, 2006 year models have afs
(adaptive front lighting system). In this case it usually cannot
be leveled. Also lexus headlights have level sensors. Things that affect this are ground effect kits, and aftermarket wheels that are not to lexus specification. Even though I highly recommend that you leave any adjustments done on a high
intensity discharge headlight to a Lexus Technician, you will find a philips slot on the head light to aim it.

My Lexus RX has a plastic cover underneath my car and it's halfway loose, I may need a new one ordered. Also, I need a 5K tune-up (oil, check brakes, tires, air filter, etc.)
Toyota can do the tune-up, but I'm not sure about that plastic part-
I need truthful advice on the difference if I take my RX to the Lexus dealer or the Toyota dealer for servicing.

A: Well seeing as Lexus's (Lexus'/Lexii/Lexuses, who knows?) are made by Toyota, they should be able to service and repair your vehicle.

they have the best service they give free drinks and they give free drinks they have computers for you to use they have a TV area and a kid area with an x box. they have big glass windows so you can see your car when it is having service. and they have subway near by in the Toyota section and only Lexus owners are allowed to be at the Lexus service part. when the service is done they run your car through a car wash and if you need to be some where when you car is in service you can get a loner Lexus car for free when you car is being serviced. they also have a gift shop. but you need to schedule in advance you cant just walk in without an appointment. i go there allot for my Gx470 if you want a loner car you also need to schedule that in advance too. look up longo Lexus at longoLexus.com and there the # 1 Lexus dealer in the Western U.S.!

Dent is right above the wind sheeld. Size of a Palm. Dealer says it has to be repainted after dent removal. Seems it can't be done using paintless dent removal.
A: Make sure you get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Dealers aren't known for trying to save their customers money. Body shops and individuals that do paintless dent removal are usually more competitive, especially if you are paying cash.
I'd guess $300 with paint if they can blend it into the paint, maybe up to $500 for the whole roof.
