Q: Can you switch an 04 Kia Rio door with an 05 door?
My sister was in an accident. She only had PIP and Liability, so no insurance coverage on repairs. The passenger side of her 2004 Kia Rio needs new doors. Is an 05 Kia Rio door interchangeable with her car?

if you can what would it look like?
A: It can be done if you find the right custom auto shop. The cost of two factory unpainted "Lambo" doors would be more than the cost of the Kia when it was new.
I'll keep my opinion on how it would look to myself!

A: Hi, I have an 04 Kia Rio LX (top spec) witch I've had from new. She's now got 43k miles on her and has never let me down. I couldn't get a better car for the money. OK she's not got European build quality but she does everything I need without a problem. She's only a 1.3 but it pumps out nearly 80bhp, Check out tech specs on other cars with a 1.3 lump and they have much less power. She's good for 80mph and very comfortable!
I'd buy another one any day!
Q: Has anyone had any problems with Kia Rio or Hyundai Accent?

A: I have a KIA Spectra. Have had repeated problems with the check engine light coming on. I had to go through arbitration with the BBB. I represented myself and won a ruling in my favor. KIA must now take back the car and give me a new one. Except for the light problem that could not be solved, i like the car,

Q: How can i improve my Kia Rio to go faster?

A: define faster, do u mean a quicker 0 - 60 or a high top speed?
u can fit larger wheels this will make your top speed higher a the acceleration too, but it will make your speedo inaccurate. fitting a big bore exhaust system will help, but it has to be a full system, manifold and all, performance air fillers don't really do much. striping the car of weight will help too but this can be very unpractical. fitting a turbo charger, this a dump value will help get more air into the cylinders.
getting the head polish and ported will improve things too, this is where the inlet and exhaust ports in the head are widened and then made very smooth, creates better air flow to the engine, and away from it too
it got multipoint injection if u can get it changed to direct injection it will help, would cost alot tho
uprating and lowering the suspension will help with cornering, so u can go faster round the bends
finally get the ecu chipped, it will give u better performance, do this last tho, as if u get it done first then add any thing else it will not work as well.
u are restricted as to what u can do cos it is a small car, there's not much room in the engine bay i will guess. or i would say inner-coolers and nitrous
but what ever you do DON'T FORGET to uprate the brakes, as more speed is great, but if you cant stop its not alot of good

Q: CD player in '04 Kia Rio won't play most of the time and other times has bad static?
Especially when it's cold, the CD won't even go to track one. When it warms up (about an hour or so later), it'll play, but there's very bad skipping and static. It has to be the CD player (and maybe the speakers); the CDs play everywhere else... Does this happen with other Kia players? Is there anything I can do other than replacing it?
A: ei is that really your pic?wow ur so pretty!!!!any way looks like your cd player needs to be replaced with a new one.you can get it fixed but if its a stock stereo,dont even bother,if your in a tight budget there are lots of low price high quality pioneer models.with front aux input,where you can connect any mp3 players available..with that you dont need to use anymore cd that messes you car(hehehehe like mine)

A: You should never have to add gear oil in a standard transmission.
If you do...you have a leak.
Gear oil very rarely needs changing...check owners manual.

I really like the style and it was in my budget and gas mileage range, but is it reliable and does anyone have had one for a while now?
A: Take good care of it, do ALL the schedueled maintanance on it, Oil every 3 months or 3K miles, all the good stuff, your owners manual will give you a chart. Dont drive it hard, take it easy, just treat it good, it will last a long time.

Q: How to change Automatic oil I cannot see plug (bolt) to drain old oil,on KIA Rio car?.?
more details, yes I mean Automatic Transmission fluid drain plug.
A: If you mean transmission fluid, you won't find a drain plug. The transmission pan is removed to drain the fluid, and at the same time, a new filter should be installed. Reassemble the pan using a new gasket.
Q: Does anyone own a Kia Rio?
I am buying a new car and I have seen this Kia Rio 1995 that I really like. I dont know much about cars, just wondering if its a good car or not?

A: no 1995 Rios. sephia's back then. they weren't horrible but rear brakes are shot at 30k miles newer kia's are much better and are easy and straightforward to work on. parts are a little pricey, still not bad if these cars are not abused and properly serviced they will last and remember it is the intelligence of economey and value that allow you to respect yourself rather than being on the side of the road in a broken luxobarge that even the rich hate the repair bills on.
Q: The fuses keep going on our Kia Rio, any idea why and how we can stop it?
We have a 4 year old Kia Rio.
We are continually loosing the internal lights, dash boards lights, air bags and once we lost the rear headlamps (if that is the right term!)
More recently the electric locking mechanism has gone mad and keeps trying to lock itself when you are trying to unlock.
Other than throwing the car away, or stocking up on fuses (which seems to fix it for a few weeks!) has anyone got any ideas on how we can fix this?!

A: Was this car in a flood at all? It would sound to me like there is a short in the harness somewhere or a crossed hot in the fuse box. You would have to start chasing wires and see if everything has a proper ground and that there is no corrosion on any of the connections. you may also have a bad relay that is causing problems in the system or you have a Reversed ground somewhere in the car. If you do not know how to trouble shoot electircal problems it's time to take it to a shop and have them look in to the issue. You may even want to take it to the dealer and see if there is a technical service bullitine on this issue. Often times the dealer has bullitins that address issues like this and it's a quick fix for them. I would call them and see if they have any bullitins about electirc issues on that Year and model.
